With Disciple working hard this Spring and Summer on a new record for later this year, Jesusfreakhideout.com's own Matt Johnson
caught up with front man Kevin Young last weekend at Found Festival in Spartansburg, PA to talk about the upcoming release.
Here's what Matt had to say about the encounter...
"This past Saturday at the Found Festival, I had the opportunity to catch up with Kevin Young from Disciple after they closed the show. When asked about the new record, Kevin shared that it would be titled Southern Hospitality and is due out this coming November. The record is aptly titled due to containing some "southern rock elements," said Kevin. The record will have 12 total tracks - eight of which will be up-tempo and "heavy," one will be mid-tempo, and three will be slow songs.
Our conversation ended as Kevin shared his method to tell if an album is heavy enough... "My wife, she loves the slow songs, but she doesn't really care for the heavy ones, so that's how I can tell."
